It’s the birthplace of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. A history hotbed and museum mecca, with over 40 museums dedicated to everything… including puppets.
There are parks galore, and all sorts of tasty restaurants to dig into.
Atlanta is a thriving and diverse cultural hub, full of music venues, theaters, and art galleries.
Whether you’re relocating for work permanently, or temporarily as part of a nomadic workforce, or perhaps you’re just visiting on vacation. Let’s zoom in and take a closer look at some of the fun things to do in Atlanta during your free time.

1. Get Going at Gotcha’s

Visit some of the places that one of the most influential man in American History used to frequent. From the home he was born in, to Ebenezer Baptist Church, to Martin Luther King Jr. Historic Park there is no shortage of places to walk in the footsteps of this American legend.
4. Visit a Museum
You’ve probably heard people say, “there’s an app for that,” and when it comes to Atlanta, there’s a museum for that. From Gone with the Wind to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), there’s a museum in Atlanta dedicated to digging deeper into history; educating and entertaining visitors of all ages.
5. Bike the Beltline
The Atlanta Beltline is a 22 mile stretch of old railway connecting some of the towns core neighborhoods. Be sure to bike (or walk) the Westside Trail portion, which takes you to Atlanta’s food and beverage district. Grab a local craft beer, and a bite to eat at one of the many delicious stops along the way.
6. Go on a Scavenger Hunt
What better way to see the city and have fun, then to sign up and participate in a scavenger hunt? It’s not something you get to do every day, and is a great way to try something different, and meet people while you’re doing it.
